My name is James (Bo) Garidel, and I'm running for District 9 director. Many of you already know me; I've been a member of NAMBA and District 9 since 1991. I'm passionate about our district: being personally involved in our district with the end of year trophy awards and building the new drivers and judges stand at Lake Minden. I've supported and attended every race possible since I joined.
I completely support fast electrics. Even though I don't race an electric boat, during 2013 FE NATS at Minden I was there from start to finish, setting the race course, running the retrieve boat, judging, and doing anything I could do - proving every race and member in our district matters to me. Furthermore, it's not just the FE Nats I completely support, I help at every single every race - setting up, tearing down, and cleaning afterwards. I'm always one of the first members to arrive, and last to leave, no matter which club is putting on a race.
District 9 is a great district with a lot of great people. There are a lot of members who have given up on what this district represents, I have not. In fact, I know my continuing contributions go towards everything we're supposed to be about.
I would appreciate your support and input on all issues to ensure the quality of our district and the accuracy of what we represent. This is something we shouldn't dismiss or have little regard for.
