Cat for Twin Aquacraft 60-A 1800-Kv Power?

    Hello,

I have a couple of extra Aquacraft 60-amp ESCs and 1800-Kv motors. These are the parts used in the Revolt, Lucas Oil cat, Motley Crew cat, and other boats. I thought it might be fun to build up a twin cat with these parts, but being new to boats (but not RC), I have few questions:
    • Is this a reasonable idea?
    • What size boat would be appropriate? Given the models that these parts are used in, I'd guess a cat in the 34- to 36-inch range. Is 32 a more reasonable size? I was thinking of the Delta Force Explorer, the Toysport Jolly, or the FighterCat River Cat. Any other suggestions? I'd like something long enough to allow me to mount the batteries in the sponsons ahead of the motors.
    • How do I figure out what stingers I would need for a given hull?
    • I have several 5450-mAh 4S batts, so I'd plan to run the two in parallel, for an effective 10,900-mAh battery. Is there any reason not try that?

I had a couple of PB 1800's around and went with this http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...-Little-Twin-G

She is a good runner. I would go with a Rivercat myself

Have you considered a Sprintcat or mean machine?
I once saw a vid of a twin mean machine running ul1 motors that looked pretty awesome.

I would go for the Sprintcat more likely. It is aerodynamically better than the mean machine. Either the 29 or the 34. More likely the 34
