    Boat or car?
Bought this two years ago for a Kyosho 1/10 buggy, http://www.hobbypartz.com/ezrun-sens...-1-10-car.html, best motor for the money. They raised their price right after that and CC lowered their price at that moment, lol...
Also I have this http://www.hobbypartz.com/07e-c-sl-10t-2848-blue.html in my Tenshock mini Hydro. ( I bought this combo from a member here). Seems to be a great motor running 2s.
For the record, I like these ( 1/10 car motors) better than the Turnigy motors from HK, I have ordered one just for kicks and it was DOA, if you turn the motor by hand, it feels as if it is filled with sand! I know it makes no sense to compare apples with oranges but my point is that at that time the Hobbywing motors were alot cheaper than the CC motors for 1/10 land vehicles, I considered them as an economical alternative. The Turnigy is yet cheaper but you get what you paid for.

I've got a 2350kv, 1/8 scale hobbywing motor I am pondering trying in a boat on 4s. It's only 350 rpm faster than a ul-1 motor, but I am pretty sure its only a 4 pole. When I spin it by hand the magnetic fields don't catch like a 6 pole does. Any thoughts ?....

What kv? The one I see at HobbyPartz has a kv rating of 3060---too high for boat application. For the MM you can run a 4074 2000-2200kv on 4s. M445 prop. I have a Neu 1515 1y ( 2200kv) and the MM is really happy. Some people even run 5s with that motor , a smaller prop.
Unless you are referring to a motor with a kv rating that is lower than the one I see on their site.

That's the one, Voltage to be 7.4 to 8.4.

I agree with Tlandauer. 3060kv is too high an rpm rating for a boat application. My mean machine is running a 2030kv on an Octura m455 prop.
But then again we're talking about 14.4v 4s lipo power as well.

As a safety net, the general consences is you need to stay undet 37,000 rpm full throttle. To get maxx rpm, multiply your voltage x the motor kv rating.
I assume your running nimh batteries instead of lipo. In theroy you should be alright, but i've never ran a 3000kv motor on 7-8v nimh cells to find out. I have run two 8.4v nimh cells in series on an 1800kv though.
