I have the DX3S, and run the MR3000 in both my boats. My fantasm can get out to maybe 75-100 meters, and the mono only 50 meters or less. On both boats I have the anntena stick outside the hull about 4". I was wondering if I should spend the money on a DX4 or switch over to a different radio system all together? Maybe switch over to radiopost or futaba? I've only talked to 1 person that has run the radiopost in their boat. And they said they didn't have any range issue's.
DX3S range issue's. Should I go with the DX4 or a different route?

My DX3R PRO has a range of over 900 feet (as far as I've tested) with the MR3000 receivers. One antenna is about 4" outside the hull. It is important to have enough voltage to both TX and RX to keep decent range.

Yea I'm running off a life battery in the fantasm at 6.6 volts. An the mono running a bec at 7.4 volts off of 8s 65c 5000mha dynogy batteries. The tx has brand new batteries. I might unhook the bec in the mono, and try the Rx battery pack I have.Comment
