Proboat Impulse 31 V2 Vs. large fish.......

I was out for a run today to check temps with a new setup. After a few min. I brought it back to shore and all temps were great so I decided to make the dreaded "One last run". Running 6s making one last speed pass the boat flipped up in the air, bounced across the water a couple times and landed on its top. My friend retrieved the boat for me....and the dead fish. Moral of the story.....don't make "One last run"!! Here is the damage a 12" trout can do running full speed on 6s. As you can see it broke the flex shaft, bent the rudder strut and broke the rudder bolt. $38.00 trout!!

I would've taken it home and smoked it! What sort of bolt did you have as a shear? A brass bolt would've saved your bracket.

Smoked trout is the one that I haven't perfected yet. Tried smoking it many times and just can't get it right. I used the stock break away bolt. doesn't appear to be brass.

I was worried about that crack also. I took it to my local rc shop where the owner is a big boat guy and he looked at it too. He said it wasn't structural and to apply some CA glue and let it wick in. What do you think about that?

Get all hardware off transom at least the area of damage, then take a good look in side too, might use some F/G resin or Z poxy F/R, on the inside and taping the outside. Just make sure the transom is back in square............I've been there on that one more run, and it seems the FISH don't like it.
