Mean Machine battery placement

Where should I mount my battery packs. ?This was a glow powered boat, now elec. Right now they are behind the motor in the sponsons.The motor is mounted in the glow eng. mount area. Batterys toward the rear,

I had my motor epoxied in with the ESC placed where I want it to be , then I put the packs on both sides and did some testing with the location according to the COG. Use battery trays that are long enough so you have room to move the batt. once the trays are glued in.

That looks similar to my placement. Don't know where cog should be. Cats are new to me.

I don't have the boat at my house, but I used 30% as the base for my testing, after you find the spot, mark them and the tray should be long enough to allow room for the batt. to move back & forth.
