Thanks, everyone, for your informative comments. I ended up buying a Revolt 30. Many people commented that the out-of-the-box setup is pretty good, it was available without radio (as RX-R), and I liked the hull and canopy shape.

Does anyone have any setup recommendations for sport running with both left and right turns?
      Revolt 30, River Jet, Southampton Tug, Outcast 6S BLX, 8ight-E, Ten-SCBE, 22 2.0.
      '09 Miata.
Ibanez basses and guitars. Mapex drums, Zildjian cymbals.

I run my Revolt just as a sport boat (not much racing close to home around here), don't worry about the offset rudder, she turns great both ways. Move the strut up a bit to get the boat running less "wet", only drag as much turn fin as you need to not spin in sharp turns, sharpen/balance the prop (helps with speed, run time, wear & tear) and leave the tabs alone unless you see the boat running with a list (mine was rolling to the right after trimming up so I put the starboard tabs down 0.5mm from stock). You're gonna love this boat!

In time, the rudder could be sharper than how it came from the box, and I'd recommend some thru-hull fittings at the transom for the water lines. Stock, the lines are just run through the hull and it works ok, but I noticed the lines were pinched slightly at the transom. Some good fittings help the cooling system work much better.

There is big speed to be found just tweaking with the stock hardware. I wish I had GPS numbers to confirm this but that's next season:)

On left turns motor and ESC water is cut off! It is setup for right hands turns only as far as cooling goes. I just drilled the rudder .125" all the way through and added a hard bass tube with a 45 on the end. I was going out to day but not feeling good. I am sure it will fix the problem. Or add a water pick up on the transom that will feed water all the time.
Buy a good battery that allows great performance.

I think I feel an early birthday coming on. Even though I'm just finishing a build that is almost the same as a Revolt. But You can have to many toys. I spend more time fixing and building them then I do driving them.
            Enjoy the new Revolt!
