A friend just came over and gave me a fiberglass hull. It is Undrilled. The hull is a mono, 29" long and 12" wide. Would anyone know of a website with general build instructions for a completely new 74 year old wannabe boat builder. I have several boats, a miss vegas mini mono, two Dumas outboards and a Tempest airboat. I have never even thought about building from a hull. What size motor and esc should I be looking for as a starting point.
Where to begin

Post some pictures of it,
And how fast do you want it to go ?
Is it for sport running and just having fun with or racing ?
Hear some info that may help.

I just want the boat to play with and it does not have to be very fast Maybe 35 40 mph would be great maybe even slower. Thanks for the links, just what I was looking for.

The boat is 39" long and 12" wide. It has plywood inside the transom. It has never been drilled. I have no idea what kind of power I should use. Where should I look for hardware. I think I want a surface drive. I have two K&B 3.5 outboards, that would be cute but probably not enough power to do anything. I belive brushless power would be better.Comment

Does it have a hatch ?
It looks a little bit like my 36" shockwave hull that I modded to FE.Comment

You will need to make one or find one for it.Comment

What is your budget like? Do you need to buy all your support equipment like chargers etc?
Depending on what you want to spend there are many different routes for a hull this size.
I tend to go mid price range for my boats, want them fast enough to be fun but above all is reliability for me.
Cheers and welcome to the hobby! If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?Comment
