        Seriously, your google elplination is spot on of what I said to start with, read it again. The dimples create a disruption in a normally stagnet airflow. My explanation and what you refered to are of the same. Sorry but you can't argue with factual evidence supported by overwhelming factual data. I'm not trying to be right but simply giving you the facts. And in the early days of golf most of the balls were hit dead. No spin, get your information from something based on factual history and evolution of the sport. Do what you want and believe what you want. But I will only give my opinion on factual established I formation unless otherwise stated.
        Smooth and flowing lines above waterline and sharp square lines below for our boats, period !!
