    hardware for daytona/genesis

I just ordered a Daytona hull but Fightercat is out of the hardware for it. I have a strut and rudder from a Revolt here that the rudder measures about 98mm, will that be too short? I'd have to mod the rudder bracket and make standoffs to run it offset as well if I use this setup. If not, any hardware recommendations? Thanks.

So you ordered number 23. I'm keeping an eye on them. The lack of dedicated hardware kind of sucks though.

Yup :). As for the hardware, I found this to look pretty much identical to the HK Genesis hardware- http://www.ebay.com/itm/Aluminum-rud...item23262b9ade and this one if you want to pay a little more and get it faster- http://www.ebay.com/itm/CNC-Aluminum...item257cb75ee5

I just have this Revolt hardware brand new sitting here from another project so if it would work, I'll use it on this one. Probably just going to order one of the ones I linked though.

Kintec has most of what you will probably need to include the offset rudder bracket.

Can't find a web page for them? I saw kinetic-racing.com but that appears to be down.

EDIT- never mind, I found KINTEC. My mistake for not reading thoroughly. Are they in the US? Thanks.

Thanks for the links. I saw it on HK earlier but it is only in their international warehouse and their shipping from there is ridiculous price and time wise . Heck, takes them several days just to ship it out, then a while to get here after that.

Damn though, I just signed in and it's only $19.xx. Going to see what shipping is now just for the hell of it.

Edit- WOW, only 2.99 to ship!! I have never paid less than $15 for shipping on anything from there. Might have to bit the bullet and get it. Works out to be $10 cheaper than Kintec, just takes a lot longer to get .

Kintec will ship fast, 2-3 days at most. I have made many orders from jan at kintec, very impressed. HK takes 2-3 weeks minimum.

Thanks for the info. Yeah, the price is tempting, but I am really not in the mood for several days of "your order is in que to be packed shortly!" and another week of "good news, your items are in our dispatch facility awaiting pickup" followed by a week of "invalid tracking number" before it finally reaches me lmao. I'll be ordering from kintec!

while this is very true when ordering from them i usally order 100-200$ worth of stuff (lipos) so waiting is worth saving 100$ or so

I agree there. I use them a lot for batteries and such, buy several at a time and add in a bunch of supplies too while I'm at it- CA, wire, heat shrink, bullets, etc. to make it worth the shipping cost and the wait.
