    Frazzo420 Pursuit Build

Ive owned a Kintec Pursuit for about 3 years now (Leapord 4074 2000kv, SeaKing 180a (5caps) running 4s2p).

On July 3rd i was up at my parents lake house on Candlewood getting it dialed in for the 4th and i hit my neighbors dock at about 15mph and destroyed the hull

So i decided i will build another one due to loving this boat. so i ordered a bare hull from HK and just received it today

Now this is my first boat build but have been researching for the last 3 years how to make my boat better so decited to make sure this one is as good as it can be. I bought some Z-Poxy and a bunch of carbon fiber cloth, all new motor mount hardware (carbon fiber) and carbon esc mount and a dual rudder pickup.

Now here are my questions how far up should i cover the bottom with the carbon???

Is the new rudder too large for my build?? it is a 5 inch rudder from kintec here are a few pics compared to the one it came with...I have read that they can be cut down to the proper size if needed just as long as i round the leading edge and make sure its sharp..??

So far i have put a layer of carbon in the boat as the first step. here is a pick of my progress...... More to come

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I have a feeling that you used a tad too much z poxy there you should just use enough to wet the cloth then squeegee the extra off....anyways yes that new rudder looks fine just try it before you cut it down or mod it, If the boat runs fine the leave it. Personally I would round the lower leading edge and sharpen it on the entire front edge either way. If the boat ran fine and was dialed in before the smash up then just leave it alone imo. Too long of a rudder makes the boat possibly hook and or slows it down a bit so maybe lop off a half inch or so. If it were me I would also upgrade that driveline with a one piece flex and a new stinger that will hold a brass bushing and better adjustment like a speedmaster or a knock off etc. and maybe an aeromarine 3/16 collet to mate w ur flex, I love mine to bits. Oh and peel off those gay Chinese decals other than the windshield lol.... sun will fade the hull but not underneath stickers hehehehe

Thanks For the reply drift. Yes I do already have the upgraded one piece shaft. That was my first mod when I bought it. Lol. Now about the z-poxy...What are the negative affects of too much used?? Also can anyone help out with a link to the proper stinger for this
Boat. I've been into RC cars for ever but this is my first boat build. Thanks.
