brass tube for 3/16 shaft?

Hey just broke my stock shaft .150 when I pull the stuffing tube the brass ID is 3/16 can I run a new .187 flexi in it or do i need to go up to 1/4? Without the stuffing tube back in there

You need 1/4" OD brass tubing.
