    P-Spec Hydro ESC recommendations?

    I am new to RC racing and have a Rigged insanity. Any thoughts would be great. Thanks Fred

    fred there are tons of esc;s for spec racing...i go a little over board and use turnegy 120 myself....never had a problem with em

      The cheapest reliable ESC for a spec boat is the Aquacraft 60 amp. It is clearly under-rated and works well at 80+ amps continuous. That said, a higher-rated ESC doesn't cost that much more and would be a better idea - unless you already have the AQ controller.

          For reliability the aqua 60 amp esc will be perfect, but if your wanting a lil more push go with a turnigy 60, seaking 60, or venom 60 amp because you are able to play with the motor timing. WARNING: this modification is for the more experienced hobbists.

            I raced a Rigged Insanity at the 2013 Namba FE Nationals with the aquacraft 2030kv motor and Aquacraft 60amp esc and ran a modified x445 on 4s1p 5000 65c Thunderpower packs and every heat I brought it back in and everything was cool and I was only using roughly 40-45% of my packs capacity. The boat was flat flying lol.
