    Hydro and marine viper

I just picked this up with a leopard 3660-3060kv motor and CC hydra 120 esc.
Looking for some advise as far as 3s or 4s and what prop should I be looking at.

Use 3S only - 4S is really too much for 4S. An x438 would be a good place to start, you could get to 50+ with that prop and have room to up the size and go faster. That little hull has a lot of lift and may not like speeds much above 50.

Would it be ok to run my cooling line to both the esc and the motor?

Sure, ESC first in line to get cool water.

Tried it out today and it didn't work too well. Motor got super hot as did the esc. It ended up taking out my batteries. It wouldn't even get up on plane. Could there be an issue with the motor? I bought this stuff used.
