With a heavy heart I regret to inform you that the Dirtysouth31 fleet has been reduced by one. The victim is the Renegade rigger. It was a good boat, and one that Dirty was proud to own. It had a rough start in life, with a bad strut angle and stuffing tube bend, but with the help of my Renegade rigger, Dirty quickly set his up to match mine and it ran well. It was a very fast little boat that handled great too.
One sunny weekend in 2008, something went horribly wrong. It wasn't enough that other boaters in the water were suffering runs of bad luck before Dirty's run. Boats blew over, burned lipos, burned electronics, ripped off a sponson, etc... Dirty simply had to put the renegade in the water.
As luck would have it, it glitched and Dirty lost all control of the boat. It went full throttle straight into the shoreline where rocks & trees were waiting to stop it. After a painstaking recovery, We had no doubts that the little guy will not survive.
