    Set Timing

    Hi Guys,
I'm new to boating by one year. I built a JAE 12 Rigger over the winter and have a GForce 3650SL 4-Pole 3200kv motor w/seaking 120a ESC. I have no idea what to set the the timing at, can anyone point me in the right direction. I didn't have that problem when I built my Min Sprint From ZippKit.

    Thanks, woodenfrog

How are you setting it up?
I'm converting my nitro one over to electric, going to be a major rebuild, have to move the rear sponson tube, cut off the ski and move the stuffing tube back then re mount the ski.
Will be running 2s and a 4200kv Lehner, hoping to keep the amp draw low enough to not have to step up to a 200 amp esc.
Not easy getting the CG correct.
    Any pictures?
BTW timing is based on what kind of wind the motor has, low timing for D winds higher timing for Y winds. Did a quick search for Gforce motors, couldn't find any info about the wind. Start low and bump it up until it starts to get hot I guess, had to do this for a couple mystery motors. Not ideal but not knowing the specs trial and error is the only way to go. Don't run for too long before bringing it in to check the temps!
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

I built my JAE 12 from plans off the internet. I mounted the motor just ahead of the center bulkhead. Everything is a tight fit, ESC up in the frount of the tub. Running (2) 2s 2200 mAh 30C midway mounted, 38MM prop. The Rigger ran good other than a heat problem. Started timing @ 15
