Fithercat esc are they any good?

    Hello
Last summer i bought a used boat from a guy in Norway, I do also live I Norway.
Due to to much work and moving I havent got the time to test this thing until now.
The boat is a 55" condor (norwegian boat) with neu 2028, turnigy 10sp2 5000mha 65c and a fightercat esc and the prop is octura 460.
When I started her up I had some masive chogging. I'd thougt it must me some thing wrong with the programig of the esc so I re program it. But still the same chogging after the re programing. So I thought okey so this is the way they are.
I drove for something like 1 minutt then she stopped. It was no throttle response at al. And I I hade a ugly feeling that this was the esc that has been fried, and of course this is what happened. Dont know if this is some thing that the previous owner has done to it.
So it has come down to this I need a new esc to this boat. And I want some thi g that can handle 12-14S I might whant to upgrade the motor on this.
If know that the mgm compro can handle this, and they are one of the best esc out ther but they costs. So what would you guys recommend? Fighter cat one more time? Or aren't thy any god at al
