I would not even try running 6s to make that boat go fast. The big boats make a lot of power because they use high voltage. Sure you can get a tp 5840 1600kv motor but you'd better have a monster esc and run 6s2p. Its just not worth it when you can run 10-12s with cheap motor, and cheap batteries. For that boat you can just use a castle 2028 on 10s2p you'll see 65mph no problem. I wouldn't give it much more thought lol.
--also be weary when taking advice on forums not everyone owns a boat of this size and what works on paper may not during summer months under load. The last thing you want is an over amped component branding your hull forever lol. A good setup will run all day every day, a bad one may not last more than 2 pulls of the throttle. hope this all helps good luck and post pics of your build. -
Here is the castle creations page for the 2028 motor. 780kv 30,000 max rpm
When you know it all.......you never will learn anything newComment

no i don't. I do know someone who has tried the 5692 730kv on 12s2p. Quite a big heavy setup boat ran mid 60s. the 2028 is way more powerful you'll be running a nice sized prop, start at x457 though.Comment
