    battery placement

I am just finishing the 30" deep vee boat.Running a leopard 4074 motor, with a hobby wing 180 amp esc.It also has the extra capacitor on it.The drive line is 3/16".How do I determine where the batteries get placed inside the hull.
    Thanks

It's all about getting your centre of gravity correct, and then testing how the boat runs. But, it depends on the internal layout you have going there. Something like a Pursuit 32 is laid out very differently to something like the Impulse 31. Then, are you planning to run a single battery pack? Or will you be running 2? I mostly run 2 battery packs in my mono's, and velcro them in place along each side of the hull. The velcro will allow you to adjust battery position easily when out at the lake. Mark the battery pack position with a small texta mark with each run until you are happy with how the boat performs, moving the batts backward or forward as necessary. Too far back and the boat will begin to porpoise, too far forward and the boat will run too wet. Testing is the key. Maybe give us a pic of your boat layout.
