Anybody ever see or use the ebay "Silver Fox" 36" cat hulls?

If so, any good? I was thinking of picking up a Genesis hull but For $150 shipped with hardware, I am kicking around getting this one. Any input?

Wow, then there are these as well which you can get bare white- http://www.ebay.com/itm/36-RC-EP-Epo...item27d45e792c The price is certainly low but that is why I am leery of them :).

Not sure on that hull but revolution hobbies were one of the first places to sell the 32" apparition cats (river cat, hotr) and the 26" deltaforce copy hulls some years back.
Like most chinese hulls they need some reinforcement.
Personally I don't think you can pass the genesis up for value for $$$. Very happy with mine. Still in testing stage with small props but very stable in the low 50s so far.

I have one of the R2 Hobbies cats in your second post.
They are cheaper on their R2 hobbies site than their Revolution shop site.

I haven't built mine up yet & will probably never get around to it. But as with all these hulls a bit of strengthening in the floor pan would be required. The glasswork on mine is really quite good.
But note.. It is designed for twin drives as the title says. There is very little room under the cowling for a center mount motor.

Didn't think of the clearance. how about back towards the "bubble" in the canopy- any room there? Do you know how much shipping is on R2's site? The price is great, but if it is $40+ shipping, it is about the same. I see their twin hardware kit is pretty cheap too- is that what you have? I'm just looking for something bigger, my Pursuit is the biggest I have at the moment (sold lots of boats a few years back). I have always wanted to build a twin cat, love the sound, but the cost of double everything gets up there quickly too.. Wondering if the Genesis would be a better choice though- simple single setup and bigger. Thanks!

The only way to mount a motor there would be to have it flat with an S bend in the drive shaft. Shipping was about 45 bucks to Australia I think. I didn't get any hardware for it.
The Genesis is a good bet.

That's how my BK Bandit as well. Had to sit the motor flat with an S bend in that one also. I'm leaning towards the fightercat daytona which is supposedly the same hull as the Genesis just bare white gel, which is fine because I'd paint it anyway. It's $76 with $12.99 shipping to me :).

I picked up one of these hulls a couple weeks ago and ran it this past weekend. Running a hydra 240 ice, TP 2060 2100kv, Turnigy nano-tech 5000's 45-90C 4s1p, X645 sharpened and balanced but not de-tongued. Boat did 51.3mph on fairly smooth water running a tad wet to play it safe. I love the orange and black paint. I also, carried over the offset rudder bracket and 3/16" strut from my broken genesis to get rid of the stock 4mm two-piece garbage.
