Maybe I should try a 3s in the stock battery location?

The 440 appears to be sharpened and balanced pretty well. It's the prop I got from ksheren on here. The edges are nice, and it balances out pretty well on my makeshift balancer.

The only 3s pack I have is a 5000mah zippy pack. It is not small by any means. I'm going to give it a shot today. If that doesn't work, I'm gutting the radio box.

Well this morning I ripped out the radio box.. And here's what I've got now.

The rio still runs like crap. Slow to accelerate, and not the best of top speed. That was with the x440. I'm going to try the stock prop here in an hour or so

I've got the boat running pretty good on 3s now. The only issue I have is the boat seems slow. If I make a very slight turn to the left or right the boat picks up considerable speed. Going straight it slows down a few mph and you can hear the motor change sound. I cannot figure out what would be causing the issue. I'm wondering if it has to do with rudders and/or turn fin angles.

Ok so what was up with it ?
And where are the video's so we can see what you mean ?
Try taking off the left rudder and see if that helps.

No video yet. I have to get the woman to take a trip to the pond with me to take a video. The cg was way off. I'm running a single 3s on the stock battery mount with the esc /rx/ servo across the back. I took the setup idea from the proboat shockwave 26 brushless and it worked awesome. Im back to running the stock 42 prop, I dinged the x440 on a submerged rock so I'm gonna have to resharpen it.

You said that when you turn it slightly to the left or right the boat goes a bit faster...... It sounds like the boat is running "wet"..not getting up on plane ....
When you know it all.......you never will learn anything new

Yeh the front end is definitely pushing water a small amount. I cannot get the front end up though. I've moved weight around, adjusted trim tabs until they're probably not doing a thing and have tried tweaking the stinger up a bit and still nothing. I'm wondering if the motor mount isn't going to need to be moved back a bit

Hook you cam up like this.
That is how I do most of my video's,
Just some velcro straps and foam padding on the tx to help hold it.
I am using a JVC GZ E 200BU now but it hooks up the same way to the tx.

Is it setup the same as in the last pictures you posted ?
If not post the new setup with the cell in place,
You need to put the cell in the center of the hull at the transom,
To much weight on the port side now will make it dig in in left turns.

                            Thanks for the input,
The cable is from 10/30/2010 and came with the boat stock.
And it does have a piece of fuel line tube on the end at the coupler and stuffing tube,
But I like lots of lube on my shaft.
And that is why the cable is still in one piece I guess.
I did have a grease sling cover on it at one time,
                            Just not on it now.
Esc is better on the port side to help stop with torque roll on this hull,
And roll overs when coming off of wake jumps to.

I will have to post a pic but with my new electronics arrangement I got rid of torque roll completely. That is no longer and issue. Running wet is the issue now
