Front motor mount water cooling + jacket?

Looks like I will have to order a new rail mount for the oddball 1515 Neu motor I just bought here, (22mm hole spacing).
Hopefully Williams Racing will do this for me, I do not know where else to look, (?).
My real question though is, IS there really any cooling advantage by adding front motor cooling to a jacketed motor?
I have seen a few boats here that did have both. Couldn't hurt, is not an acceptable answer.

I have tried the mount cooling in addition to the jacket and noticed little if any difference in overall motor temps. I guess if your setup was questionable you would want every chance at cooling you could get. The thought is that it will aid in cooling the front bearing of the motor, but then you should have one on the rear of the motor also.

The cooling from the motor mount is designed to cool the front bearing, not the motor

        Hey,
Hears a link to some very nice custom mounts.
May be he can come up with something good for your motor and setup.

The most common use for front cooling motor mounts that I've seen is setups with outrunner motors because you can't put a jacket on them.

And maybe some situations with inrunners where there's not enough room for a jacket.

            Like I said.

Just another chance for water to leak into your setup as far as I'm concerned. If you have a jacket the w/c mount is a waste of weight and tubing. Just My $.02.

I have one in my cat, don't have it plumbed anymore. Tested both ways with the temp probe for the eagle tree logger, no difference in temp at all either way.
The temp probe was right by the wires, the little button one not the wrap around motor one.
What did make a difference in another boat was drilling holes in the motor mount that matched the ones in the end of the motor, lowered the motor temp about 10 degrees over a 3 minute run. I believe the rotor is drawing air through the motor, I also think the cooling from that is very limited once the air inside the boat heats up. Probably helps for the first minute or so.
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?
