t180 issues...frustrated help plz

here is my dilemma, I am trying to recalibrate a t180 I have with a Futaba 3pm 2.4 radio. I Have the throttle rev set to on like the manual says but when I connect the Lipo holding full throttle it beeps twice then I let go to return to neutral it should beep once but it beeps twice....my problem is that it acts like it calibrated but I get hardly any throttle afterwards like limp mode etc.. I have also tried to use the programming card to reset all values and play with various settings, please help! I wonder if there is a way to reset the esc other than a program card maybe I goofed a setting lol odd. I even tried to use a dx3r and sr3500rec. to try and recalibrate it but got same results. Maybe the esc is cooked or am I missing something......

try full throttle first.........then full brake.......then neutral.....

fixed lol thx, Now I have another issue with a t180 I calibrate it the same way in another boat and when its done calibrating it winds out all by itself...I have to hold the brakes to stop it? and trimming it up or down does nothing.... damn esc all trims are at zero and epa is maxed out when calibrating?

I wonder if your throttle channel needs to be reversed?...Try that..and if that fixes the motor running with no throttle input ...you will have to swap two of the motor wires to get the motor to run the correct direction.

I use Futaba 3pm 2.4 radios. Double check what you EPA should be set at. I seem to remember that on some ESC's they need to be set at 100 not 120. And on other ESC's they need to be set at max. Don't remember what the T180's call for.
And also as has been mentioned the throttle has to be set at reverse on these radios.

Yes the throthle channel MUST be reversed with this pistol and will work with all of your models.

I picked up a PB 45A ESC with the card last week. I followed all the instructions - which said to set the throttle channel to neutral, soon as I turned on the power switch the motor would go full tilt, apply the brakes and it stopped. Long story short, I changed the throttle channel to reverse, works perfect now. Using Tactic TTX-240 radio system.

Have several Seaking speedo's, all require throttle channel to be set to reverse for proper operation, again using Tactic radio.

Driftah, I had very similar issue when I got a new t180 ESC but I have a DX2E radio. I started a thread and provided a step by step resolution to this problem. Maybe it'll help you.

reverse the throttle i believe on the 3pmx radio the function you're looking to change is acceleration to reverse. Had this same problem yesterday with the same radio and esc lol. futaba radios are reversed for throttle
