    ESC queastion

Hey guys I have a Pro Boat Mystic with the factory ESC. Im wanting to move up to start running dual 3S batteries in it and just wanted to know what is the amp range of ESC that I would need to have to run the boat reliably. Im not looking to race just have fun at the pond and push the boat a little more.

So a 120A ESC would be all that I need?

I probably wouldn't run the motor on 6s, but yeah a 120 will do
        I think it's the 1800kv right?

Yes it is a 1800 KV motor. Do you think that it will not handle the 6S power. So get the 120A ESC and run a single 5s battery?

Yeah 6s is just a little much for that motor. 5s will work well and get you really crankin.
You can run one 2s and one 3s of the same brand, c rating and mah in series

If you are going to do an ESC upgrade, you should buy as much headroom as you can. I think the seaking marine 180A ESC is a much better unit, does not cost all that much more.

you have to know that the 1800kv motor is realy about 1875Kv so when you are going to 6s :al lot of rpm's that are going to kill that hardware rapidly

like being said: 5s is plenty!

i tried that motor with 5s and stock prop and i already had the feeling that it was not liking that

I have a blackjack 29 with stock esc on 6s but I run the PB 1500kv motor .
Peak amps are 106. So I would guess the 1800 would be 120 plus

I think a 120 will work but I would spend the few bucks more and buy yourself a 180amp esc. That way you have some extra capacity, the esc will be under loaded, and it will give you some more room to run 6s if you want plus if you want to upgrade the motor in the future you can without any issues or more money out of pocket to reupgrade the esc. JMT. I have an MG myself and when I upgraded the esc I got a 180amp hobbywing. If I would have done a 120 from the jump my current setup would have required another esc
