Does wire drive need greasing?

Hi guys

I am building 2 eco boats that will be running both with brushed motors.

The 2 eco boats use piano wire that are in a tight fit in the stuffing tube.

Does wire drive need greasing like cable?

You bet they do. I slide grease up it and then some drops of oil on it. Makes a nice slick lube.
