    Bad day at the lake

Today finally got all 4 boats working and at the lake at the same time but just had bad luck

Red spartan (the old mans) broke another cnc prop 42x1.4 stock hardwear second straight weekend tried a new 3 blade 38x1.8 we had, terrible (will be listed for sale lol)

Blue spartan motor still running hot 45-48C leo 4072 1600 sf 200, 45x1.6 going to prop down hopefully helps.

Zonda still unsure on water outlet and 2 batteries might be ruined chargers saying 4ser 5ser on screen (seperate posts)

On better news got a HK swampdawg put traxxas velineon vxl-3s (from mini slash) modded motor mounts and put a turnigy 2632 3400kv motor in on 3s. Best fun for $120 ever. Goes up and down boat ramp, over weeds and lillys and even on water when I want to

Yeah no drama, didn't hit it at top speed, but head on with my tunnel hull, just a crumbled nose (already fixed), and ego (non repairable )

. Ahhh I know that feeling with the ego! I'm the same way, just cracked my hull, got a new one but I already know I'm gonna be WAY more cautious!!!! -_- On the actual topic though, at least u didn't actually destroy or break anything EXPENSIVE (other than batteries maybe) :)

Man that sucks guys. well if it makes you feel any better I was at the pond yesterday doing a cooling system check and was running the boat full throttle and caught a cross wind and my Mystic cat went flying through the air hit the water and rolled a couple of times and landed on its top. luckily no damage to the boat every thing is good just walked away with a bruised ego lol.

Batts are ok just ran them to low while testing new rudder and cooling. Charged back up and they balanced just a silly mistake. Want to prop down from 45x1.6 on spartan it does have leo4074 1600 what would be a good match, seems the 45 cnc is big big motor is always in high 40's

Since the end of May I've got two boats on the bottom of the lake. Both times the hull cracked (in a million pieces) on impact and left me with some styro on the surface while all the expensive hardware and lipos are gone. And then I bbq'ed a SKYRC Beast. Must have gotten five digits of watts out of it while it was trying to rip the stringers out of the hull (which led to chunks of clearcoat coming off the hull)

                Thats about $2500-3000 just gone.

                Im gonna start collecting rocks

Might be cheaper to learn to scuba or become really good mates with one. That would be the worst loosing one to the bottom

Yeah. Been going for years without incidents and now this happens - all in one month. Maybe I'm pushing it......which is the natural thing to do, right?

@viper1. Sucks about the GoPro camera. I had a borrowed gps in one of my disasters.

A few months ago a friend and I bought new boats, he got the new Blackjack and I got the Impulse. We went to the lake and ran the boats together. What would be the chances that our boats would hit in a nice big lake? Well it was only on the second set of batteries when we collided and he punctured a hole in the side of my Impulse, split the hull open along the seam and semi-submerged it. I had only run it for a total of about 10 minutes after getting it out of the box!

Killed a pair of packs, well 1/2 of a set last Saturday. Think I need to build a smaller 2s rigger to use the odd man out 2s packs in.
Odd how 2 boats always seem to want to occupy the same patch of water no matter how much space you have.
Haven't had much luck this season, payback for having no problems last season at all.
At least the pack that died was 3 years old so it really didn't owe me anything. That set had started to take longer to balance.
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

Ive def had some frustrating days but only one really bad one. Burned up the motor and esc in my hot shot 45. Then had a wild flip with my kneeler tearing the cowl off leaving two good lipos in the bottom of the river. It was a costly day.
