Hey guys I just got a ProBoat Mystic a couple weeks ago and been having a blast with it but it was damaged by previous owner to the gel coat. On the right hand sponson it has three quarter size spots where the gel coat is gone and it bare fiberglass weave. I have coated it with CA glue to keep the water from soaking into the fiberglass but just wanted to know the proper way to repair it. I was planning to repair it with fiberglass resin and sand it down. Lastly just wanted to know what kind of paint would be a good paint for the use and abuse that these boat take and will hold up to that well. Oh and graphics I was wanting to put some cool graphics on it just wanted to know if there was a place that i can just by have to make my own.

I use epoxy to repair broken chunks of gelcoat-- after it has cured you can sand it down, then repaint. Best paint is automotive airbrush, but I don't have that gear and just use krylon fusion spraypaint. After at least a week of curing, then I hit it with clearcoat. If you look in the OSE tips section there is a good article on spraypainting hulls, and also here:
