    Batteries getting HOT

    I have a Blackjack 29 with all stock electronics and stock prop,running 2-2s packs they get really hot. What would cause this ? thank you

        not sure how long i ran for . Im new to boats ive been into rc cars for a long time but never had this issue.
        they are nexus 5200 mah 45C and SPC 6500mah 50C

          Are these being used together? If so, never use different brand and with different discharge rating and capacity.

              i never mis matched them. when i plugged them in they were at like 6.2v

                That is quite low, long run time will be hard on the packs. That is 3.1 v per cell, lvc territory, 3.3v lvc is usually considered minimum, I think you should time you run to 2 min. And check you temp and batt. Voltage.

                    Yeah I figured that was to low I figured the LVD on the ESC would've shut the boat down when it hit LV . what is the point of having LVD on the ESC if it doesn't shut it down. All my car esc's shut the car down when it hits LV

                      Thanx for the info guys ill try to watch my runtime. With at least a 5000 mah what should the runtime be at ?

                        4 to 5 minutes.
                        You should also get the prop sharped and balanced and that will help to,
                        It will let the setup not work so hard.
                        Get some video's of it running,
                        If it is running to wet that will also add more heat to the setup.

                          Ok thank you. These boats draw a lot more power than my cars I guess lol. Just wondering why the low voltage detection on the ESC doesn't shut down the boat before it smokes the battery

                            I think that may be a Pro boat problem,
                            This is a new esc and motor and could have some issues from the factory.

                              Which version blackjack? The older ones don't have an lvc pre programmed as far as I know
