    Record Set

    Hello my name is Van. I move to USA few months now for job. sorry my English is still learning. A friend told me I should come here very good internet site. I have assembled what I say some fast catamarans. I assembled 1 that over 150kph. My friend said I now set record. I have order 1 more MHZ 1140. I will put in my 2 proven motors and props that made me fast before. I see on impba.net that records for the 8s 10s size batteries I use are are not so fast I think old records for that speeds. Please tell me date of next race in North Carolina.

    IMPBA S.A.W. event in North Carolina is in March. You have plenty of time to build and practice.

        Hey Van. The next SAW's event in Elizabeth City will probably be in early November. Hope to see you out there. LMK if you have any questions about the rules or classes.

          8s is not a current record.

          Edit: As Keith has already stated.

            There is also another SAW event in Flint, MI in October. I will be attending and would be happy to help out if you end up making the trip.

                Hi Van! I strongly encourage you to attend the next SAW event near you - you will learn a lot and have a lot of fun. Don't worry about the current records, afterall records are made to be broken. For what it's worth, the current fast catamaran records are:

                IMPBA:
                S = 176 km/h
                T = 126 km/h

                NAMBA:
                S = 151 km/h
                T = 206 km/h

                .

                  The IMPBA Records director has been quite busy. He is very good about updating the records and there are only a couple that are not up to date. I'm sure they will be updated shortly.

                      Better clear your your inbox Doug.

                      Van, Check the club web site in my signature toward the end of summer. I'll post the next date as soon as I find out. Record trials are typically held in the spring and fall so the guys running gas and nitro can make more HP with the cooler weather. We have a great bunch of guys in the district and they cumulatively own more records over 100mph than any other group. They are always willing to teach those eager to learn.

                              I agree. Just going and seeing what you can do is worth it, especially if it's your first time. Even if you don't get a record, you will be better equipped to come back more prepared to the next event.

                              I wouldn't be surprised if all of those records changed by the end of the year, with the exception of Brian's monster T-Offshore record. You never know what someone is going to do between now and later events. It's always possible that there will be people going for the same records you are when you go to an event, so their passes may be more relevant than what you see posted on the IMPBA site at the time.
                              I think most guys will do what they can to help each other out though, even if it means the other guy ends up going faster.
