    P-mono seaducer setup question...

I have a 33" seaducer mono that I have been running for a while with a 1521, hydra ice 240, on 4S2P, 10,000 mah total, spinning a octura x450/3 blade, and was wondering if anyone could tell me if it would better with a 1515 on 4s1p and smaller prop instead, it truns on a dime at full throttle but I dont feel like its getting the speed it should 45-50 MH, maybe... it runs very wet with all that weight in it and when its sitting still water washes over the transom and lexan cover a bit because its so heavy and im constantly worried about it because as im sure most of you know, they are a pain in the neck to tape down the covers on... any thoughts?

Just curious. Your motor is a 1.5D. Correct?

Do you have Seaducer hardware on her?

You're still going to need more than 5000 mah with the 1515 1Y if you plan to heat race it.

Here is a pic of one that I did a few years back. Everything was a tight fit. LOL

Lots of potential for sparking in there if you don't keep track of all the connections!

I didn't have the boat very long. It scares me just looking at it. LOL

Yes it the 1.5D and the inside of my boat looks about the same. I was thinking 1515 and 2 6500mah TP 2s packs in series. Basically everything in my boat is in the exact same locations as the photo you posted with the exception of my batts being even closer to the transom. And all the hardware is seaducer stuff. Wish I could post pics on here from my iphone

This is what happened after the second run when she stuffed. I never even got a chance to dial her in. Very disappointing!

May suggest a little two part expanding foam on the nose or maybe jam some epoxy saturated glass cloth in there.

Did it hit something under the water when it stuffed? Mine has stuffed twice and it doesn't have any extra reinforcement in the nose, mine happened in pretty deep water and I saw it coming because it hit a wave both times and got airborne and I got off the throttle immediately! Now my 90-100 seaducer with a CMB 101 on the other hand did it so hard that the only thing I got back was the pool noodles but it was moving when it happened! Never did find the boat. Just a piece of the top deck and the noodles... That was a VERY bad day at the pond... It's actually why I got out of boating for a while...

No. It was choppy and unfortunately it just stuffed, peeled the deck back and it snapped off. I had just enough pool noodle in the thing. The only thing floating above the water line was the first five inches of the nose.

Too bad it didn't work out. A well set up Seaducer is a thing of beauty to watch on the water. Though most of the ones I have seen run real nice are the .60/.80's and larger.

Truer words have never been spoken! I may end up getting another 90-100 one day or even a sprint gas mono, always wanted to see what I could make one of those QuickDraw engines do... Anyway!

What kind of speed were you getting from your boat with the 1515 and I noticed you weren't using 5000 mah packs, how wet was it running?

Cant really say what speed it was running. It was the first day the boat ever ran and I was just trying to set it up. It was faster than mid forties though and it was not noticeably wet. I was probably running a 445. I used 4200's to keep the weight down and to make sure they would fit outboard of the rails.

That's good to know, do think a 447 3blade cut down to 45 or a bit smaller if need be would work?

I edited the above post. LOL Probably a 445 or 642.

Well maybe going to a 1515 would be a good idea for the seaducer and running 4s1p 6500 mah TP packs. I wonder what the SAW guys ran in their boat, I think it got over 70 and looked super stable, I think it could go a bit quicker.
