How much gap do you have between the drive dog & the strut.

Where are they breaking? Near the stub shaft or farther up towards the motor?
I haven't heard of many issues, I don't own a Revolt, I have 3 other AQ boats though, was thinking about one until I got a good deal on another boat.
A young guy around here has one, nice running boat, don't think he has had any problems yet.
I'm a big fan of Hughy flexes, been using them for years in electric and nitro boats. Replaced the original in my Motley with a Hughy, that one did have issues with the flex cable in the first releases.
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

I have been keeping a little over 3/16 of an inch gap. They are breaking right where the flex goes into the prop shaft.

I take it you have checked the alignment of the tube & the coupling, also is the coupling running true.

Is the motor mount moving around and allowing the flexshaft to rub against the brass stuffing tube?? Is there teflon between the shaft and the brass??

                  Is it a stock setup?

Are they breaking , or coming apart due to poor soldering from the factory?

I just had a brand new AQ SV-27 cable go on me after 1 minute, when I got it back to shore, the flex had come out of the shaft.

Yes I am running a stock set up.
Darin the stuffing tube is stock. The Teflon liner is still in the tube.
Like I said before all three cables broke right where the flex meets the prop shaft.

                        Hello Doby
All three cables are all the same size. I don't see any solder. They look like they twisted out of the prop shaft

Ah ha! Probably poorly manufactured. It happens.

If thats the case, they can be cleaned and re-soldered...thats what I have to do with mine.

                            Hello Doby
The problem with that is the props and prop shaft are on the bottom of the lake.

My opinion is that's not the proplem only because one of the flex shafts was mine i ran it 10- 15 runs in my boat with no issues when we put it in his revolt 2 seconds and it was gone. Something else going on here. Not to mention an expensive issue when you calculate the cost of 3 sharpened and balanced props and the flex cables.
