Has anyone bought a OSE strut that looks like this?

I was about to do my 3/16 flex shaft upgrade on my Genesis. When I noticed that the strut I ordered from OSE didnt fit on my stuffing tube. I looked in the hole and this is what I saw.

The hole is buried and ob-longed. I contacted OSE and they said that is from the bushing being pushed in. They made it seem that that was normal but I canimagineon it that. I would have to reshape it. It is specifically made for my boat. Is this normal? Here is a pic of why I think its not. My old strut is clean and round. OSE is not.

Looks like a MFG defect to me. More specifically their reamer or drill was junk.

Got calipers? If so whats the difference in size between both?

I have to ship it back to OSE. Hopefully they won't make me pay for the return shipping. To bad Im going to have to wait to finish my boat. I guess I'm down for another week or two of running my boat.....
