    DF 22 Vortex strut adjustment

First of all got the DF 22 Vortex up and running... I think I am in over my head . The CoG, depth and angle of the strut on this boat is completely baffling to me does anyone have this boat they might give me their current setup I might have a starting point? I only have two (tuning) sets of packs on the boat since its maiden run (which the flexshaft sheared). On the second pack the transom lifted out of the water, it jumped up landed in a spin and twisted the ul1 turn fin so bad it creased the black anodizing. Not sure where to start. I tried moving the strut up, down, postive, and negative pitch to get it to somewhat stable but my propblem is Im not sure what off by what its doing. If anyone out there has any help I really would appreciate it. thx.

    Setup:
DF 22 with all UL1 hardware 3655 1850kv motor. I have the motor way up in the front of the boat. The end cap is at the begin of the hatch. I've moved the batteries from the back of the boat all the way to the sponsons.

As I changed the CoG it changed the ride but not for the better just different (not sure what I am looking at ) I hate to sound dumb. I had a my UL1 in the 50s with this exact setup but I am dumb founded starting from scratch with this and not days of information like I found on the UL1. Please give me anything you got. THANK YOU ALL IN ADVANCE.

Here is picture of the strut on my Vortex 22". The strut has about a 2 deg negative angle. The front bottom of the strut is about 1/2" off the lowest point of the transom. To get the measurement I put a straight edge across the bottom of the transom. From the straight edge to the front of the strut bottom is about 1/2". The COG is about 1" behind the sponson back edge.

I know that you want to run a 4s setup on the Vortex. The boat would be way over powered on 4s. I run mine on 2s with a Lehner XL 4200 (4200kv) in race trim. As a 2s setup it's very fast. With 4s power it will be a rocket. Another issue with running 4s vs 2s is substantial increase in weight of the batteries. If the boat gets stuffed with the extra weight of 4s batteries, it will go right to the bottom. You can power the boat with 4s, but I think that you will be heading for disaster.

I appreciate the response. I think I am going to trim the boat without the turn fin first. Idk if that is a given but idk if it pulling down or... I dont mean to pry but if you dont mind what capacity and run times are you getting?

I ran a 2s 5000mah battery in the boat. The boat ran for around 2 minutes total for a race. I could probably safely run it for 3 minutes before the batteries gets below 20 percent. My goal was to finish a race, not to see how long I could run.
