    Hydra 120 capacitors

For those who have the Hydra 120...do you notice the 2 caps being bent one way or the other? Any thoughts for protecting them? Maybe solder a small piece of copper perpendicular to and across the water cooling tubes to serve as a stop so they can only go so far?

I gooped some Silicone in between and around the caps on mine. It helps keep them in place. Thats one part of the Hydra's that seems to be a poor design.

I had the same thought only hot glue...silicone would probably be easier to remove though.

GHot glue is a good idea,,,IF the controller stays cool, otherwise you risk melting the glue!

There is only 1 way to find out I suppose.

My other though was high temp RTV red gasket maker, by Permatex. Do you think the chemicals would damage the electronics?

Just go with the plain old silicone, it will do fine.

Silicone caulks contain acetic acid and acid and electronics don't mix well.

As long as you keep it on the casings of the caps, then all will be good!

I just wrap some electrical tape around that end once the cooling lines are on, on both the 120 & 240 keeps them together and stops them bending on the wire.
