I was wondering if i could add a second water intake to my top speed 3 tunnel ? And how ? I would dedicate one to the motor and the other to ESC . For better cooling. Any and all info and suggestions would be much appropriated. Thanks Steve
How to add second water intake on tunnel hull?

If it is a k&b lower its tough to add a second one to the cav plate but you might be able to mount one right on the back of the sponson so it runs flush with the bottom. You could also put a larger inlet to replace the stock one with a large dia tube and to a splitter with a separate line to each. -
i just drilled a hole next to the stock one and glued in an intake. simple enough and worked fine for me.Comment

I havenoidea... It certainly worked tho (Mechanically I mean) I never measured temps. The motor was always wet and warm.Comment

IMO, there is no need for dual water lines unless you are pushing your set up really hard. Keep it simple. One trick if you have an OS lower is to carefully drill out the small brass pick up tube with (I believe) a 1/16" drill bit to increase flow.
BTW- I love my TS3. I've done a little work to her blueprinting the bottom and putting a layer of glass over the transom. She keeps up with many of the top shelf tunnels and can turn tight on the race course at full throttle on a P-Limited set up.Mike Chirillo

Its a hyper performance bullet 3.5 drive. Everything's good temp wise . I though maybe better safe than sorry. But now im thinking KEEP IT SIMPLE ..But thanks for all the help guys :-) SteveComment

Adding a second tube on either side or a longer one behind the original is not hard. I have several and cool the motor and ESC separately. Not sure it is necessary either. I have been pondering just eliminating the water jacket on an outboard as it gets plenty of free airflow. Can't be any worse than water preheated in an ESC. KISS principal.
Mike is correct the TS-3 is a very good spec hull. Not the strongest but inexpensive.
