    Lipo for Min V

I have a MiniV with a Duratrax motor (water cooled) and a Thunderpack 2s 1350ma battery, and an Octura (??same size as stock) it runs great, but the battery has been puffed and very hot last few times I ran it, am I discharging to fast? should I get a Lipo with a higher discharge rating? I do not want to add much more weight, larger Lipo as I really like how it is running now. The water cooling seems to help the motor.

My experience with car motors taught me that they will draw 20 to 30 amps in a reasonable setup. You may be exceeding your battery's capability. You can get 1350 to 1500 mah LiPos now with a 20 to 25 C rating. I would suggest that as your best weight/capacity option.

If, your battery is puffed. Do not attempt to charge it again. Dispose the suspect battery in a responsible manner, as the manufacturer has advised.

            battery

I run a 2 s 1500 20c with a 3900 kv motor and a 40 amp esc and it seems to work great. The only problem I ran into is it will not fit down into the baterry slot so I made a spacer out of balsa that fits the slot well and then put the battery on top of that. It works fine and is stable at speed (besides alittle torque angle to boat) but in the turns it's center of grvity is alittle higher in the boat so it will spin out a bit more. It's a fun boat. I also over heated and puffed one of those tp 1320 packs.
