    Zonda cat prop change

Hey I have a zonda cat 41" running 2 swordfish 200pro, TP tower motors 4082 2180kv on 5s with cnc 43x1.6. Everything running great nice and cool but thinking of changing props and looking for suggestions?

It's a bigger prop but has less pitch - the motors should be able to handle them. Watch your temps, run in 1 minute increments and check.

Okay, running "cool" in the Fall with lower ambient and water temperatures. What do you mean by "cool"? 25*C? 35*C? Terms like "cool" and "cold" and "warm" are meaningless for relaying setup information, especially without telling us how you run and for how long. Are you looking for more speed or more run time - what are your goals for the boat?

The x447L+R props have less pitch but more diameter, so their load may be about the same. Higher efficiency with the larger props may result in higher speeds, or not. Acceleration will likely be better. Another option would be ABC 1816/3 L+R. They will have more progressive pitch and more blade area and will load the motors more - things will get "warmer". They have more lift so the CG will have to move back and the struts may need to be angled up a bit. But they should give an increase in speed and acceleration. Use egneg's testing technique if you value your equipment.

Yeah nothing gets over 35 degC and that's even after 8 min runs, don't always run it that long but just wanted to test it. Just looking for a bit more overall performance with this boat. What about a cnc prop so I can run it straight away to check how it runs before getting some to sharpen and balance.
