Newbie help with HK OSE strut upgrade

I have a HK Genesis that I am upgrading the drive to 3/16. I got the OSE 80975 strut upgrade along with a brass tube and Teflon liner to work with a new 3/16" cable. However, the new brass tube does not fit into the strut like the stock stainless tube did (due to larger OD of the new tube). Am I correct in assuming that the Teflon tube just fits into the strut (it does) and acts to center the brass tube? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

The brass tube should be fitted in the strut but going up to the larger sizes to use the 3/16" flex you need to mod the hole in the front of the strut. The simplest way on the Genesis to upgrade to 3/16" is to change the strut out like you have & remove the teflon liner & run the flex straight in the original stainless stuffing tube to which a few on this forum have done.
