Issue with water pick up from rudder

I think it looks like the holes is drilled wrong.
If you dremmel a path to the hole, you might dremmel into the channel to the lower hole.
The top hole should be in front of the lower one, then this would not be an issue...?

Yep blow through everything fine when it's on the bench bottom holes filled. Hopefully the new rudder with the path to the holes fixes the issue :D

Oh Well. It was just a thought based on what I've seen before. Looks like a bad design by who ever makes them.

Others he sold never had that issue just unlucky but new version coming in stock soon and try one of them and should be all sweet.

Yep thats what happened when tried to dremmel path because the front hole is lower than the back, barely cut across and only just cut into the hole going up

I had a somewhat similar issue in which one channel of a dual pickup rudder didn't seem to be delivering much flow. My solution (as yet untested) was to fab a "scoop" from JB weld ( greased up a tiny drill bit, laid it in the groove, JB'd and trimmed before it cured & slid out the greased drill bit just prior to curing.) In your case you'd need to do this on both sides for both pickup holes - may not be worth the trouble but who knows ?

Got the new rudder looks better design has changed slightly, but for the life of me I still can't see if there is water coming out the outlets(zonda has one either side). Boats comes back in with some water in the lines, blow through the lines small amount comes out of outlets. After a good 5-8 min run nothing is over 32 degrees C surely it's working . The spartan outlet is like a hose when it comes in close at speed
