I am new to boats. I have looked at HobbyKing. I would prefer a ARR. What would you reccomend for around $200? I would likke something I could upgrade for more speed down the road. All my RC vehicles are built for speed

save your money and wait till you have around $400 and get a Motley crew or the new proboat impulse 31. You are new to boats, you will learen that no matter what you've done in RC before that the power consumed by boats is more than you've ever thought possible.

Aquacraft Revolts are only $250... http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...=SM&I=LXBXEP** - not exactly a cheap plastic hull'ed entry level POS.

Lot of people on this forum swear by them, same motor & ESC as the Motley Crew.

Just some food for thought... good luck in your search.

$240 shipped RTR (minus batteries) with the $20 tower code put in.

$235 shipped RTR (minus batteries) with $15 code at Omnimodels.

If you already have a radio and spare receiver, knock $50 off those prices.
Revolt 30, Octura M545, Spectrum DX3S tx, ORX rx, Shaft from Kinetic...not on the water yet.

purchased an impulse 31 (first version ) for my first boat and I was very impressed. Got it at my lhs for $199.99. Had the stock prop balanced and sharpen by BHChieftain who I met here on the forum and he did a great job. Made a run last night with the prop height set all the way down and the motor timing set to high and got a 35.34mph speed out of it. I'm only doing 4 minute runs so the temps are not a problem. I did change all the stock connectors to 5.5 bullets which made a big difference in the temps. Also learned that here on the forums.....speed 5-21-13.jpg

Omnimodels it is then. I thought it was odd that Tower was calling their prices for the RTR and RxR sale prices. Their sale price is Omni's everyday price. By the way, my $185 Revolt from Omni arrived today

Cool. Check out the web site in my signature. I live in Loudoun County but we run in Centerville every few weeks on Sundays and we have a district race coming up in late June. Come on out and check it out if you're interested. We run everything from RTR's to bad a$$ race boats.

A Revolt is a good choice for an ARTR boat to start this hobby madness! You wont be dissapointed.

That post confused me. Was under the impression that Omnimodels still had it at that price.
