    Mono Rudder

Hi, I'm wondering if there is some advantage to shortening the rudder on my Pursuit. The thinking is... the boat turns really well without turn fins on, if I shorten the rudder it will be less effective but should still turn the boat ok. I can still put on turn fins to help turning and the shorter rudder should be less drag. The boat is currently doing 60kph (37mph) and is set up for 5 lap oval course heats.04052013222.jpg

shortening the off set rudder :when you turn left the rudder would hardly be in the water , of course no problem if you don't need to turn left

rough water conditions : i like the rudder to be a little longer, adds control/stability
