    My first run on lipos.

Well my proper 2s connectors showed up on the bus Wednesday morning. I Charged them and loaded them into my old Acadamy Sea Dagger for their first run. I bought this boat new in 1992 and it is still bone stock. (was even running nicads up untill now).

The boat use twin 540 brushed motors 12 cells and a mechanical speed control. The (2) 2s 2500mah lipos did wonders for it! It was like a whole new boat. The motors got pretty warm (well actualy kinda hot) but everything amazingly held up.

I have two trinity 550 brushed motors and an emaxx esc on the way for this boat, I hope that will wake this old girl up even more. I am not to sure of what else I should do to this boat maybe change out the stock prop and ad water cooling.

I started with one of those mechanical controllers. Used it until I welded the contacts in the wide open position and then it blew over. Not a pretty site to see your boat floating upside down on the water and the motor running wide open.

Dont know what the max amp rating is on a mechanical controller, so i would definately replace it.
