Servos... Stick with analog or go digital?

I need to buy a few servo's.

Ive mainly been using the waterproof Traxxas analog jobs. Havent had one fail yet and price point is good.

My JAE I have a Hitec HS-645MG. I understand this is a good servo.

Is there any reason to go digital? Thoughts on the new Fitec servo OSE is now selling? They got a TON of torque.

My servo's need to be able to turn a 42" boat going 60ish (hopefully) down to a mean machine going mid 50's (hopefully).

I have gone to all digital servos for most of my boats. Turning torque is not the issue - holding center is. I was having a lot of hooking on one of my big cats a few years ago, and even though the servo had over 250 oz-in of torque the mass of the boat would overwhelm it. I switched to a digital servo with a bit less torque - and the problem vanished. I also find my SAW boats hold a better line with digital servos.

Do you have to use one? Of course not, I used analog servos for years with generally good success. I think my only boat now without a digital servo is my Motley Crew.

Now to find which ones are good mix of value and quality for us high powered sport runners (non racers).

i run hitec waterproof 5646 digital in my zonda and spartan and have had no issues with them, they around 40$ but with all the money spent on motors/esc why not pay for something reliable. One thing they like 7.4 volts to get max torque and alot of sbec are 3.5 so i had to run cc ubec and program it to 7.4volts

I have good luck with BMS servos from HobbyKIng. They seem to be water proof (or resistant) and offer a large range of speeds, torque, ,digital, metal gears, etc.
