    CC2028 on 12s

    I've wondered if this big motor can take more than 30k rpms for a while now?
    I have one for a big Sprincat that I'm going to run 8s on with gas props but adding another 4s pack sounds like fun with smaller props

    car guys do it, but not sure about this in a FE
    just wondering if this is possible and if anyone has tried more than 10s please tell

    I have only tested up to 10S2P with the 2028 and I was using a MGM25063 like the video link. The big difference is that boats pull signifigantly higher amps than cars do at speed. I was already at 200A on 10S2P. 12S would have been too much.

      Tyler, if we prop down couldn't this lower amp draw ?

        Yes, but running an itty bitty prop at high RPM is inefficient on a large boat. You are likely to fold the blades over given the blade thickness versus power available.

        The motor will likely handle it fine, but be prepared to replace the controller.
