No not without using a sleeve. If you'll notice on your stock prop, there is a brass insert. You take that out and put it in the new prop. Stock Elam shaft is 1/8 and most props are 3/16 bore, so that little sleeve allows you to run 3/16 props. Even the stock prop is 3/16 bore. Without the sleeve that wouldn't even fit

Well you should be able to now try those other props you bought you thought didn't fit. What are they?

yeah thats the same prop. only it NEEDS to be balanced and sharpened. if you notice they charge an extra 25 bux to do that, which puts you at the same price as stevens already done prop. only difference is, steve has quick shipping and his props are done very well. never know who is doing those other props at fun rc boats

Yeah you're right. Just the name sounds a bit funny "fun rc boats"

Just have to jump in here for a sec. The guys at fun rc boats also called raceprep are great guys and they will take of you just as well as Steve will. Both the owner of OSE and FunRCBoats make sure their products are done right. I guess what I'm saying is don't bash a business you've never worked with. Sorry my rant is over.

If you just want to play around you could use these the 42 or possibly the 45 will work. They are not as good as a balanced and sharpened prop but they work well.

I would think this should work:http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXXSE8&P=Z and it is intended for an 1/8" prop shaft and therefore no sleeve is needed. Unfortunately OSE is out of stock with those excellent props Jim suggested. The Rio EP prop's material is much less brittle than the Proboat plastic ones, I use them on my brushless Rio with great satisfaction.

I used that prop on a formula fastech and it worked well but was tight I think the are 3mm shaft so may have to be drilled out with an 1/8" drill bit

Hi ncp546, your miss elam goes even better if you do the mods that are in the build threads. Ive gone as far as removing the air intake from the cowling as well. It handles better at speed. I've run a 45mm x 1.6 cnc prop from hobbyking with better speed than the pb s/s prop, and I've started playing around with a 447.

The Proboat s/s/ prop is heavy and not really balanced to the point where we normally consider 'balanced" , I am being polite and don't want to offend Proboat. Balancing is a labor intensive undertaking that Proboat would not be able to sell it at that price despite what they say . THIS IS HOW IT SHOULD LOOK: if one were to use it to its fullest potential:http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...ht=#post492040
It is thinned/polished/balanced, two aspects are important here: thinning and balancing.
