Mike, either you've been consuming adult beverages or your fear of me catching you at some point has finally pushed you over the edge. hahaha

See ya tomorrow. Need to play with my wing-a-ling.

Dropped the strut deeper. We'll see. Still pretty flat though. Hope the weather clears.

Torgue roll caused by the counter clockwise rotation of prop in some higher powered boats will cause the left sponson to lift during hard accelleration causing blowovers. You can see left sponson lifting just a little in this video

BACK IN BUSINESS!! 54+mph with the H5 and the new motor location in post #13 (lake water was 41°F so I didn't have to worry about heat too much, lol!).

The boat really aired out and the motor wound up nice. Felt like a completely different boat. Became a kite with a head wind gust, but I can work with that!! Can't wait to try the 1717 again and start where I left off last year.

Still need to figure out if it was truly the CG or the flexshaft.

                  Good one Shooter.
I'd just like to add that of all the props I tried on my 33" Whiplash the H-5 performes the best. It's my favorite prop.
See the danger. THEN DO IT ANYWAY!!!

No doubt one of the best props I've tried. It generates some heat, but in the colder months up here, it's fine for 7 laps. I had the 1717 pushing the boat a tad faster than the H5 last year, but it cavitates a lot on the start. Really gotta feather it to get it hooked and it can be quite a challenge on smooth water if your CG is far forward.

I'm just very happy I got the speed back!!! It seems to turn a lot better as well without all that weight up front. Just wish it wasn't so flighty. I might have to add a 'wing-a-ling', or I'm going to be spending a lot of time casting tennis balls.

Well Detox, I think I got a taste of this last night. It was a three step process..... Threw the boat in, hit throttle, upside down. At least I didn't have to go far to fetch it. May have gone a little overboard with the CG.
