    41"Aeromarine Sprint Cat

Just inherited a 41"Aeromarine Sprint Cat. I have a Neu 1527 1y (1250 kv) and a 300amp Swordfish. Think this will work on 8s and 10,000 mah? What kind of prop should I start with? Thanks for the input.

Should work great. Look up Mike Pagenelli. I think he had one.

That's a great hull! I used to run that hull with a 90 CMB Grand Prix nitro engine. Love to see what you do with yours.

I would be very concerned about the high rpm on 8S. I run that motor on 6S in the 34" SprintCat spinning an x455 prop and it runs very well. You'd have to go to a smaller prop running 8S, and I doubt a 50mm prop would be very efficient in a 41" hull. Would it "work"? Yes, but not very optimally. Get a motor with a Kv closer to 900-1000 and a prop at least 55mm in diameter and you'll be a lot happier. So will your ESC and batteries.
