Has anyone used spray on electrical tape to water proof an esc?

I am trying the brush on electrical tape for wire/solder connections, instead of heat shrink or electrical tape. Have not tried it on the controller.

      I’m not sure…
I have a 90a RC Hydro’s esc for a brushed motor that I sprayed that stuff on. I was anxious to get it put together and did not test the (used) ESC first. Now I can’t get it to arm. I don’t know if I wrecked something or if there is another issue at work here.

I cannot see how this stuff might affect it. There shouldn’t be any way this spray on tape would make a difference.

Keep in mind that lessons in this sport can be expensive (I gotta remember that!). Good luck and keep us posted if you try it.

        waterproof

I think I might try it. I know my mamba max works and I want to water proof it or try to. I don't think it will eat into it or any thing so it's either that or the dp270 epoxy. I just thought that 2 or 3 coats uniformally over the whole esc might be better that a through coating of the epoxy? I was also hoping to put it right back in the original box and if I epoxy allittle to much it won't fit back in it.

My friend, and fellow SLOBS member, Mike has used that stuff on an Aveox SL-48 with great success. I plan to use it on the SSSH build I am doing on this forum, although I will just be sealing the ends of a shrink-tube encased Chinese ESC.
