    How to tell if the ESC is toast

    is there a way to tell if the ESC is toast or test im running 2 2s 5000 mah 40C batterys and its a stock proboat 6s/80 AMP ESC and i keep frying the motor wires please help

    What prop are you running and what is actually frying? Pictures? How long are your runs?

      octura m445 no more then 4 min runs the white wire on the motor is brown. i know i need to up the connections size. is the ESC good or should i move to 120amp or 200amp. i cant keep frying anymore motors. this is the blackjack29

        Stock ESC should be good, you need to get 5.5mm bullet plugs between the ESC and Motor, that is the weak link usually, many times these come unsoldered, if you have temp gun, check it, will be surprised how hot the connection is!
        BTW, if you want to up grade the ESC, my personal favorite is the Seaking ( Turnigy) 180A ESC. I have that in my MG with a Leopard 4082/2200kv motor running 4s2p.
        Too many boats, not enough time...
