I want to buy 2 esc for my MHZ138 and I contacted Cathy for Fliermodel and she has a great offer BUT I am hearing some negative stories that they are the same as the Fightercat esc's and they burn out fast. I have a deal for the 3s-16s 300A watercooled esc's. What are your thoughts and your experiences with the Fliermodel esc's and are they the same as the Fightercat esc's. I am running them on 12s each with Skyrc Proteus 730KV motors.

They claim to be the manufacturer for FC. Ive had a few quotes from Cathy as well, $135-150 per 300A ESC is relatively cheap. Now will it last? Well if they are indeed the manufacturer of FC looks at all the FC issues...
I went with a Swordfish.42" Osprey, 32" Pursuit, 26" Bling Rocket (rescue), Blizzard Rigger, JAE 21FE rigger, Hobby King rigger (RIP)Comment

Have to check the pictures but I think it was one of those that exploded in my buddy Kendts 6s tunnel.
Don't mean caught on fire of just the caps went, the whole thing blew right apart!
Didn't last two runs on 6s pulling about 120 -130 amps by his eagletree - with a different esc same setup. If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?Comment

I found the Swordfish 300A without logging for 228GBP ex shipping at Astec models in the UK. Ithink I buy 2 of those instead of the Fliermodels. For me as European it is easier to send it back in case of repair. Also I have more trust in the Hifei esc than in the Fliermodels. Bit more expensive but it prevents me to replace which is more expensive.Comment
